Welcome to the NextGens' first online event for the year. Dial in to hear from our own NextGens co-chair Michael Cybulski, along with industry leaders Susan Harris Rob Langridge, and Fred Kalt. Our impressive line-up of panelists will be sharing with us about their career journeys that have led them to where they are today. This will be an interactive session with plenty of opportunity to ask the speakers about their varied experiences and their takes on the ITS industry – come prepared to ask questions!

Michael Cybulski
CEO / Retina Visions
Michael founded Retina Visions in 2016 and has since established a strong presence within the transport industry. Trained in civil engineering with a history in the road construction and transport industries, Michael has worked on underground cable projects, road surface condition assessments, business development of asset management systems and big data analytics. Michael has worked with both private industry and the public sector, providing enhancements to businesses to improve efficiencies in how they manage and utilise their data. Michael was awarded the ITS Australia Young Professional of the Year award in 2018.


Fred Kalt
Managing Director / Yunex Traffic
Fred Kalt is the Managing Director of Yunex Traffic, and is responsible for the Asia Pacific ITS business.
Fred has held several senior management positions at Siemens, with multi-year assignments e.g. in Germany, China, USA, Singapore or now in Australia. He has been committed to the ITS industry since he took over Siemens' Intelligent Transport unit in Beijing for Northeast Asia in 2005.
He has already contributed his experience as a Council Member (Board of Directors) of the Intelligent Transport Society Singapore (ITSS), including the Chair of the ITSS Special Interest Group - Business.
Fred studied Information Technology and Electrical Engineering in Germany and has a passion for ITS-related innovations that drive the mobility industry in business and technology.
Specifically, he is dedicated to the digitalisation of ITS because it makes road networks and fleets safer and smarter, to the benefit of people and the environment.


Robert Langridge GAICD
Director of Emerging Technologies / Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI)
Rob Langridge is a long-standing experienced senior automotive professional with extensive domestic and overseas experience in the automotive industry spanning over 30 years. Rob’s role with the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries, the representative body for the new vehicle industry is a pivotal position with unique access to most Australian new vehicle manufacturers and importers.
As the Director for Emerging Technologies, Rob is actively engaging on behalf of manufacturers with governments, regulators, and stakeholders to facilitate the imminent introduction of advanced automotive technologies including Connected and Intelligent Transport Systems.
Rob has an avid interest in new technologies, extensive knowledge of emerging automotive technologies and is currently engaged with and contributes to ITS-A on the policy committee.


Susan Harris
Chief Executive Officer / ITS Australia
As Chief Executive of ITS Australia, and with an extensive career in transport strategy, Susan is ideally placed at the intersection of technology and transport. Supported by strong connections to the international ITS community and the global network of ITS Associations, Susan works tirelessly advocating for the benefits of transport technologies for business and for the broader Australian community.
Susan is highly regarded for her roles supporting the growth and innovation of the nation’s transport technology industries. She works across a number of industry advisory groups and is a regular advisor to the State and Federal Governments, and their Ministers, on transport technology and mobility issues.

The ITS Australia NextGens are a group dedicated to young and early-career transport professionals established and supported by ITS Australia in January 2021. The ITS Australia NextGens aim to connect and provide opportunities for young professionals by promoting knowledge sharing and networking between future leaders and contributors to the ITS space.
