Aaron has over 20 years public sector experience in both Australia and the United Kingdom and has as a strong record of achievement economic development, education, social justice policy and transport portfolios. He has advised the Western Australian and Victorian governments on industry reform, regulatory matters and the impact of technology on public policy.
Prior to joining the NTC, Aaron was Chief Executive officer of Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria, where he led the Victorian government’s commercial passenger vehicle reforms and heavily influenced Australia’s policy response to the emergence of ridesharing.
Aaron has a passion for technology and the political economy of software development. He is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Masters in Public Policy from Murdoch University.

In this role, Mike leads a wide range of work developing and implementing land transport policy and regulatory reforms.
These include policy development to prepare Australia for the commercial deployment of automated vehicles and other transport innovations such as co-operative intelligent transport systems (C ITS), developing new laws that will govern automated vehicles operating on Australian roads, and overseeing the National Heavy Vehicle Charging Pilot (NHVCP), which is exploring fairer ways to fund Australia's roads through testing alternative ways to charge heavy vehicles for their road usage. Mike also oversees the Secretariat to Infrastructure and Transport Ministers meetings (ITMM)

Rita is a qualified Civil Engineer with over 25 years’ experience across transport planning, urban planning, business transformation and managing organisational change. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia and is the immediate past president of that association. Rita has been invited to be an expert contributor to Connected and Automated Vehicle steering groups across Australia, New Zealand, United States, Singapore and Canada.
In October 2022, following an extensive career covering, local government, consulting and industry associations, including running the Australia and New Zealand Driverless Vehicle Initiative (ADV), from 2016 to 2021, she joined AWS as the industry head for Transport across ANZO. In this role, Rita works with Public Sector Customers, across Land, Sea, Air and Rail Transport. Her role is to support Transport agencies on their transition to the cloud and assisting them to leverage the scale and agility of the cloud, to deliver, safe and sustainable services to their customers.
As the key spokesperson for a number of organisations across her career, Rita has delivered keynote addresses on the topic of driverless vehicles across the globe and has met with all levels of governments and their agencies in Australia, New Zealand, United States and UK. Career highlights include establishing the International ADVI program, running the first on-road demonstration of automated vehicle technology in the Southern Hemisphere in 2015, being the first female President of the Institute of Public Works Engineering, SA and Australasia, as well as having the IPWEA scholarship for Women in asset management named after her.

Samira Namin is a Technical Director for Electrical Engineering, Roads and Highways, South Queensland at GHD. She comes from a security and surveillance background and has been working in transport industry since 2003. Being involved in federal government projects and dealt with world leading international integrated detection and screening solutions, her working experiences in ITS space include Brisbane City Council, Department of Transport and Main Roads and WSP. She has presented in 2022 ITS Summit in Brisbane, 2022 AITPM Online Technical Conference Series and has gained professional developments such as RPEQ, RPEV, RPEng, CPEng and APEC certificates. She is participating in Engineers Australia mentorship program as a mentor to assist other engineers and community.

Scott has over 25 years’ experience across network operation, transport data and technology. His passion is helping governments and network managers effectively operationalise strategy and policy, to share knowledge, mentor and develop our industry.
Scott was based in the UK for 10 years, where he worked on UK and EU Euro-regional ITS projects. These projects included network management and pricing: shifting the dial on operational efficiency. Since moving back to Australia, Scott has worked and delivered projects across Australia with state and federal governments including driving transformation through C-ITS. He has been closely involved with development of AIMES and is part of the AIMES executive.
Scott co-leads global initiatives driving change in future mobility and drive to zero carbon for WSP. Scott is a chartered engineer and a fellow, past board member and State President of the AITPM.

He has worked for clients in the USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Hong Kong, the UAE, and the European Commission. He specialises in advising on strategy, policy, planning, governance, regulation and economics for road pricing. More recently he advised the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications on its National Heavy Vehicle Charging Pilot. He is also working on RUC pilots in numerous US states.

Silje Troeth was elected President of the ITS Australia Board of Directors in November 2023.
Silje has been working in the ITS industry for 15 years both with the private sector and the public sector within project management, project delivery, sales and marketing. Silje has been with Q-Free Australia since 2004 and has held various positions within the company in Norway, Australia and the Asia Pacific region, most recently as General Manager and Senior Vice President for AMPEA (Asia Pacific Middle East and Africa).
Silje has been a director of ITS Australia since 2018, and in addition to serving as President, Silje also serves as Chair of the Marketing & Communications Committee, and sits on the Membership Committee. Silje holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Western Sydney and a Master’s degree from the University of Technology Sydney.

AMAG currently has three targeted products in the market with customers, including SMART Safety, Operations, and Survey.
Simon has been an active researcher in road safety during his entire career, has co-authored more than 200 technical papers and 2 textbooks, and has won numerous awards for his professional contributions to transport safety. Simon also held leadership and management roles at UC Berkeley and the University of Queensland prior to joining AMAG.
