Join us this March to learn about the latest findings from the world-leading research project ‘Integrated connected data for safer, more efficient traffic management operations’.
Australian governments have the shared targets of halving road deaths by 2030, achieving zero road deaths by 2050, and reaching a net-zero emissions target by 2050. A broad approach, including a wide range of technologies and policy interventions, will all be crucial in achieving these goals, as well as close collaboration with industry and our communities.
The research is an important piece of work in supporting the ambitious national road safety and emission reduction target. The project is examining how to better leverage existing data and technology and embrace the opportunities offered by connected vehicles to deliver safer, faster and more efficient road travel, shaping a future of seamless mobility.
The webinar will present the findings from the Driven by Data Progress Report which outlined key insights from a stakeholder consultation with some of the countries leading government and industry transport experts, as well as extensive literature review. The webinar will also be one of the first opportunities to hear the findings from the modelling of large data sources provided by project partners.
ITS Australia is proud to be delivering this research in partnership with the University of Melbourne, Victorian Department of Transport & Planning, Transport for NSW, Transport & Main Roads QLD, Main Roads Western Australia, Transport Accident Commission, and iMOVE Australia.
Panellists
