Vincent leads the Statewide Network Operations branch within the Queensland Government’s Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).

Vincent is passionate about the role that transport operations and intelligent transport systems can play in enabling greater customer outcomes, improved modal equity, greater sustainability and better utilisation of roadspace.

Vincent has led a number of transport teams since joining TMR in 2010, most recently as Executive Director for Service Planning and Infrastructure within TMR’s public transport division - Translink.

Prior to this, Vincent worked in the UK’s private sector and was involved in a wide range of transport planning and delivery projects across many of the UK’s major cities.

Prof Shimul Haque is the Head of School, Civil and Environmental Engineering and a Professor of Transport Engineering at Queensland University of Technology (QUT).

He is a specialist in econometrics and artificial intelligence applications in transport engineering and road safety. His research is focused on developing intelligent technologies to save lives and reduce road traffic injuries.

Dave is a Chartered Engineer (CEng UK) of 28 years’ experience based in Melbourne, Australia, with a focus in transportation network operations modelling and the meaningful & pragmatic project delivery and optimisation aspects as such modelling can provide.

Dave is elected a Fellow of Australian Transport Professionals Association (TPA) and a Fellow of The Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT UK). He is founder (2013) and Past National Chair (2019 to 2021) of the TPA’s Transport Modelling Network.

In 2022 he became the fifth person to be awarded the Modelling World UK Conferences’ Masters of Modelling – Lifetime Achievement Award, in recognition of his contribution to the transportation modelling discipline globally in both a professional and in a volunteer / institution sense.

Silje Troeth was elected President of the ITS Australia Board of Directors in November 2023.

Silje has been working in the ITS industry for 15 years both with the private sector and the public sector within project management, project delivery, sales and marketing. Silje has been with Q-Free Australia since 2004 and has held various positions within the company in Norway, Australia and the Asia Pacific region, most recently as General Manager and Senior Vice President for AMPEA (Asia Pacific Middle East and Africa).

Silje has been a director of ITS Australia since 2018, and in addition to serving as President, Silje also serves as Chair of the Marketing & Communications Committee, and sits on the Membership Committee. Silje holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Western Sydney and a Master’s degree from the University of Technology Sydney.

Marcus van der Velden is a transport technology specialist with over 30 years’ experience. He advises public and private clients on ITS, smart mobility, asset management and freeway communications, drawing on major projects across Australia and internationally.

Dennis is Co-Vice President of the ITS Australia Board.

Dennis is Chief Engineer of the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads. He oversees a range of technologies including Geospatial Technologies, Road Design and Hydraulics; Pavement, Materials and Geotechnical Engineering; Structures; and Safer Roads Infrastructure.

A Chartered Professional Engineer, member of Engineers Australia and graduate of Australian Institute of company directors

Has worked across areas including strategic planning, traffic and transport planning, road safety policy and engineering, road design, road operations and Intelligent Transport Systems. He has contributed to a range of national groups and is Queensland Director on the ANCAP Board. Board member and Vice President of ITS Australia. Has recently been appointed as a Board member and Interim Chair of Transmax and Queensland's board Austroads board member. He is also on the interim board of CCAT. He is a member of Institute of Public Works Engineers Australia.

Dennis is committed to bringing together skills and knowledge of his team and their partners to embrace new technologies, engage with customers and drive new ideas into action for benefit of the community.

As Chief Executive of ITS Australia, and with an extensive career in transport strategy, Susan is ideally placed at the intersection of technology and transport. Supported by strong connections to the international ITS community and the global network of ITS Associations, Susan works tirelessly advocating for the benefits of transport technologies for business and for the broader Australian community.

Susan is highly regarded for her roles supporting the growth and innovation of the nation’s transport technology industries. She works across a number of industry advisory groups and is a regular advisor to the State and Federal Governments, and their Ministers, on transport technology and mobility issues.
