Join leaders from industry and government for a series of insightful presentations outlining their projects and plans for 2026. With presentations from Toyota, National Transport Commission. Transurban, Main Roads WA and Austroads, this is a not to be missed event to start 2026.
In this engaging and interactive forum hosted by Transurban, presentations will take place from 11:30 - 2:30 with a lunch with colleagues and friends from across Australia.

Anita Matuszewski
General Manager of Transport Technology / Transurban
Anita Matuszewski is an accomplished technology executive with deep expertise in leading digital transformation across Australia’s transport, retail, and logistics sectors. She is currently the General Manager of Transport Technology at Transurban, where she leads all roadside technology delivery and operations across the network, enabling safe, efficient, and innovative transport experiences for millions of road users. Her work sits at the intersection of infrastructure, data, and emerging technology—driving operational excellence and future-ready solutions.
Previously, Anita was the General Manager of Engineering at JB Hi-Fi, one of Australia’s most prominent electronics retailers, where she led the company’s engineering strategy, delivering high-impact digital solutions and seamless customer experiences. Prior to that, she served as General Manager of Technology – Channels and Sales at Australia Post, leading large-scale technology programs and nationwide customer-focused transformations.
Anita is also a committed advocate for women in STEM. Throughout her career, she has championed diversity in technology leadership—mentoring emerging female talent, driving inclusive team cultures, and actively supporting industry programs that empower women in engineering and digital innovation.

PaoYi Tan
Head of Automated & Emerging Technologies / National Transport Commission
PaoYi Tan is the Head of Automated & Emerging Technologies at the National Transport Commission. She leads the Automated Vehicle Program, a national intergovernmental partnership to develop the regulatory framework for the safe, commercial deployment of autonomous vehicles to Australian roads. PaoYi has an extensive career in public policy and regulatory strategy, with over 20 years working across government and private sectors, including for the Productivity Commission, nbnTM Australia and Australia Post.
She specialises in complex regulatory reform, greenfields legislation development and is committed to building strong and collaborative partnerships between industry and governments.
Dr Yandong Fan
Head of ITS Strategy and Planning / Transurban
Dr Yandong Fan is an executive technology leader with more than 20 years of experience in leading strategy, architecture and innovation functions across transport, energy and telecommunications industries. With a PhD in mobile computing, he is specialised in developing technology strategies enabling delivery of business transformation. In his current role at Transurban, he leads the strategy development and investment plan for ITS across roadside tolling, surveillance and detection, operational control and management and road user experience. Before joining Transurban, Yandong was a Director and Chief Architect at Victoria State Government of Australia where he led the development and implementation of transport technology strategy and data reform strategy, and involved in major transport programs to deliver simple, safe and connected journeys for citizens and sustainable transport solutions for communities.
Susan Harris
Chief Executive Officer / ITS Australia
As Chief Executive of ITS Australia, and with an extensive career in transport strategy, Susan is ideally placed at the intersection of technology and transport. Supported by strong connections to the international ITS community and the global network of ITS Associations, Susan works tirelessly advocating for the benefits of transport technologies for business and for the broader Australian community.
Susan is highly regarded for her roles supporting the growth and innovation of the nation’s transport technology industries. She works across a number of industry advisory groups and is a regular advisor to the State and Federal Governments, and their Ministers, on transport technology and mobility issues.
Ada Lin
Cooperative and Automated Vehicles / Toyota Motor Corporation Australia
Ada has a 19-year career in the automotive and electronics industry and has led diverse teams across the globe. Her expertise includes Hybrid Electric Vehicles, Cooperative and Automated Vehicles, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing technology.
Currently, Ada leads the Cooperative and Automated Vehicles (CAV) team at Toyota/Lexus Australia, which collaborates with governments, industry, and academia as a research partner; liaises with Toyota Japan and global affiliates; and reviews industry and technology trends, providing insights to policymakers. Under her leadership, the team has spearheaded several award-winning Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS) and Automated Vehicle (AV) programs.Ada holds a Master’s degree from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Auckland, and has pursued further professional development at Stanford University, Harvard Business School, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, and others.
As a member of the ITS Australia Board of Directors, Ada will contribute to the policy subcommittee. She is also an active member of working groups at the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) and the Australian Integrated Multimodal EcoSystem (AIMES) and a lead author of ITS publications. Ada is a passionate advocate for road safety, dedicated to developing real-world mobility solutions that enhance the safety, efficiency, accessibility, and sustainability of future transport systems.
Jason Owusu
Chief Data & Digital / Victoria Department of Transport and Planning
Jason Owusu is the Chief, Data & Digital at the Department of Transport and Planning. He is responsible for the end-to-end planning, delivery, operations and management of the department’s data, analytics, spatial and digital solutions and services for transport, planning and land use.
Jason was previously in the role of Executive Director Data Transformation and before that was the Director of Data Management in the Department of Transport. He is passionate about the intersection of data, AI and machine learning and the potential application of these emerging technologies. His experience focuses on leading through change, increasing operational efficiencies and driving positive outcomes for customers and communities. Prior to his executive career in the public sector, Jason held a variety of senior management roles in the utilities, energy and FMCG sectors.
Silje Troseth
President ITS Australia / Vice President APAC & General Manager Australia / Q-Free Australia
Silje Troeth was elected President of the ITS Australia Board of Directors in November 2023.
Silje has been working in the ITS industry for 15 years both with the private sector and the public sector within project management, project delivery, sales and marketing. Silje has been with Q-Free Australia since 2004 and has held various positions within the company in Norway, Australia and the Asia Pacific region, most recently as General Manager and Senior Vice President for AMPEA (Asia Pacific Middle East and Africa).
Silje has been a director of ITS Australia since 2018, and in addition to serving as President, Silje also serves as Chair of the Marketing & Communications Committee, and sits on the Membership Committee. Silje holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Western Sydney and a Master’s degree from the University of Technology Sydney.
Scott Fennelly
A/Director Real Time and Intelligent Transport System Operations / Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA)
With over 20 years of experience in Civil and ITS projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Australasia, Scott currently serves as Director of Realtime and ITS Operations with MRWA.
A Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (CMILT), Scott was a founding member of ITS Ireland and served as an Executive Board Member for three years. He played a key role in preparing Dubai RTA’s bid for the ITS World Congress and pioneered the first government ITS Graduate Program in Australia.
Throughout his career, Scott has built a strong track record of collaboration, developing company expertise, and leading teams across both the private and government sectors. With a pragmatic focus and a deep commitment to ITS, he is dedicated to strengthening partnerships across the ITS sector.
