We invite you to join us at our exclusive Brisbane ITS Business Networking Event, where industry gather to exchange insights, build connections, and engage with clients. Whether you're an expert or new to the ITS industry, this event offers an unmatched networking opportunity.
As a Gold ITS Australia Member, Telstra and their ITS partners provide real-time, reliable transport solutions that help connect vehicles, transport network infrastructure, management control centres, equipment, and transport users so that government and industry can optimise the efficient movement of people and goods around Australia.
This networking event will centralise discussions on the national importance of ITS within State Government portfolios, the importance of robust, reliable and secure communications across the transport network on resilience, critical communications, and how to help end users & road agencies continue to provide safe and connected infrastructure.

Speakers

Gaven Nicholls
State Government Group Owner / Telstra
Gaven Nicholls is an Executive Group Owner of the State Government Segment with Telstra Limited and is responsible for working with Public Sector organizations and assisting them solve Business Challenges by leveraging technology.
Gaven has been in the technology industry for 25 years and graduated from Deakin University with a Master of Business Administration in 2005. Gaven is passionate about technology and believes that most challenges in society today have an ICT challenge to be solved. Gaven is a previous board member of the Space Industry Development Centre with the Queensland University.


Channa Seneviratne
Technology Development and Innovation Executive / Telstra
Channa Seneviratne is the Executive – Technology Development & Innovation in Telstra Global Networks & Technology (GN&T) which is home to the Centre of Expertise for network technology innovation including Telstra’s 5G Innovation Centre, software engineers, network engineers, technical product owners and delivery specialists engaged in intelligent network automation, observability and network API development, and all Global Networks & Technology staff in Telstra India.
Channa has a leading role in network sustainability, regional advocacy, and leads Telecom Industry engagement for GN&T via his role in GSMA. He reports to Sri Amirthalingam, Acting Group Executive of Global Networks & Technology.
Channa has more than 40 years of experience in telecommunications networks having worked in both Operations and Engineering across both fixed and wireless technologies. During his time in Telstra, Channa has played key engineering design, support and operational roles as Telstra moved from being a start up in wireless through the evolutions of 2G, CDMA, 3G, 4G and now 5G. Channa led the launch of the world’s first commercial gigabit LTE network, the activation of Australia’s largest IoT footprint through our Cat M1 and Narrowband IoT technology and the launch of our 5G network.
Channa has a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Queensland specialising in Telecommunications.
Away from work Channa enjoys travel, sport, wildlife photography and spending time with his young daughters.


Sebastien Glaser
Professor in Intelligent Transport Systems / CARRS-Q (QUT)
Sebastien Glaser is a Professor at CARRS-Q (since 2018) and Centre Director for the ARC Training Centre on Automated Vehicles in Rural and Remote Regions, having previously contributed to and led research projects & teams in Europe. He has significant experience working with the automotive industry.
His research focuses on the safe interaction between automated vehicles and other road users. He is managing the iMOVE CRC Cooperative and Highly Automated Driving project and several extensions, with the Australian Research Council, and the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, looking at the deployment of automated vehicles and the safety of automated technologies for their uses in on-road applications.


Susan Harris
Chief Executive Officer / ITS Australia
As Chief Executive of ITS Australia, and with an extensive career in transport strategy, Susan is ideally placed at the intersection of technology and transport. Supported by strong connections to the international ITS community and the global network of ITS Associations, Susan works tirelessly advocating for the benefits of transport technologies for business and for the broader Australian community.
Susan is highly regarded for her roles supporting the growth and innovation of the nation’s transport technology industries. She works across a number of industry advisory groups and is a regular advisor to the State and Federal Governments, and their Ministers, on transport technology and mobility issues.
