Over the next 40 years, Greater Sydney is forecast to grow from a city of 5 million to 8 million people. Over that time, advancements in transport technologies will cause massive shifts in the ways that people and goods move around our cities.
At our Sydney ITS Business Networking Event, we’ll hear from Transport for NSW about its Future Transport Technology Roadmap, including an update about the NSW Government’s recent announcement of the Next Generation of Opal and the start of the Opal Plus app trial. Transport for NSW’s Deputy Secretary of Customer Strategy and Technology, Joost de Kock will also tell us about the innovative work the agency is doing in advanced analytics, quantum computing, and how they are making better use of the data collected across the network. This work is key to recognising Transport’s vision to be a top-three global leader in the use of transport technology to enable convenient, personalised and sustainable solutions for our customers and communities.
